The History of AZP Installs...
AZP Installs was started in 2001 while Adam, Zephyr and Paisan were working on fellow Subaru Enthusiasts cars in Paisan's parent's driveway in Staten Island. From there they grew the business and eventually moved to our current location in Kenilworth, NJ. Even while we have had space in Kenilworth, we have seen our shop move and grow. Our landord, also a Subaru Enthusiast, has worked with us and helped us to expand to where we are today. We now have a lift (after 8 years of working on the floor!) and have 2.5 bays to service almost all your Subaru needs. If we can't handle the job, we will always direct you to a trusted shop who can help you out with it rather than take on a job that we aren't familiar with. We are just a bunch of Subaru guys who enjoy helping out other Subie owners on their cars with over 35 years of collective Subaru experience.
When we aren't working at our day jobs or working on AZP customer cars, we are tearing it up at the road race course with Team IAC. Driving a Honda CRX, Adam won the East Coast Honda Challenge H5 Class in 2005. In 2006 he piloted the Team IAC/AZP Installs 1994 Subaru Legacy Turbo to an undefeated season in the PTE Class and the NASA-NE PTE Championship. AZP also benefits from racing experience in that we know what modifications work best and provide the most gains for the money. AZP and Team IAC have worked closely with several parts manufacturers on prototype parts to ensure they are the highest quality, most bang for your buck parts for your car.
Our clients are mature adults who understand that modifying your car is not about the most horsepower, the shiniest parts or the lowest drop. We will do our best to advise you in your upgrade path to maximize your enjoyment of the car. Contact us even if you aren't ready for your installs today, just to find out what we think will work for you, we enjoy it and will help you to map out a plan for your car. Most importantly we treat your vehicles as if they were their own, with the same care that you would put into modifying it yourself. Come down for some pizza or BBQ, as well as some installs too!
